If you're looking for something a little more adventurous, check out the nearby Athabasca Glacier and Columbia Icefields. These are both about this two-hour drive from Canmore. Despite the beautiful scenery and stunning natural wonders, visiting Canmore is sure to make your trip one to remember. While you're in Basecamp Resorts, don't forget to check out the town's local arts scene. This small town is packed with art galleries and cozy cafés, while it lacks the ski-hills of nearby Banff. Despite its smaller population, Canmore is home to many independent shops and breweries. This makes it a great alternative base to explore the surrounding National Park.
